YOETZIM (PARENT LIAISONS/ADVISORS)

Yoetzim (parent liaisons/advisors) are part of our camper care team, overseen by our camp Director, Rachael Abrams, LCSW-C. These adult staff members, equipped with diverse skills and counseling backgrounds, are hired to handle a wide spectrum of issues with campers and staff. The yoetz/et is your primary contact person to share information, ask questions, or share any concerns you have regarding your child. In early June, you will receive the name of your child’s Yoetzet.

CONTACTING YOUR CHILD'S YOETZ/ET

If you'd like to speak to your child’s Yoetz/et, please call 570.798.2504. During the day, Yoaztim are busy working with our campers and staff and emails are not always checked immediately. The most timely way to reach your child’s Yoetz/et is by calling camp. Aside from emergencies, please allow 24-36 hours for returned calls. The Yoetz/et will contact the parents/guardians of all first time campers during the first few days of camp to report on their child’s adjustment. Please note: unless it is an emergency, campers do not speak to their parents on the phone unless there is a specific and necessary reason coordinated in advance between the family and the Camper Care team.

If while camp is in session, you need to contact us regarding updated logistics regarding a summer arrival/departure or a necessary item (please review our updated package policy here) that your child forgot/needs replacing, you can email your child’s yoetz/et to notify us to expect the item. Emails should only be used for this purpose. Please note that phone calls should ALWAYS be used to address specific camper concerns and behaviors.

The following emails are only checked WHILE CAMP IS IN SESSION. The Taste of Ramah address is only checked the week leading up to Taste of Ramah and while Taste is in session. If you have any camper care concerns during the year, please contact Rachael Abrams at rachaela@ramahpoconos.org.
