Our Programs

Taste of Ramah

The “Taste of Ramah” program is open to current 2nd and 3rd graders. (3rd graders also have the option of attending for an entire session or full summer.)

The 6-day program is filled with a variety of activities that include sports, instructional and free swim, water sports on our beautiful lake, climbing, arts and crafts, woodworking, dance, music, Judaics and more! Taste campers will experience the independence of living in a bunk community, and a beautiful Ramah Shabbat brings a relaxing end to Taste of Ramah’s week at camp.

The campers live in bunks with two counselors and are supervised by their own Rosh Edah (Division Head). Meals take place in the Chadar Ochel (Dining Hall) with the rest of camp, where everyone experiences the Ramah Ruach (spirit), especially during Shabbat. Each evening campers have specially designed Peulot Erev (evening activities) and the day ends with Peulat Lilah Tov (bed time activity) where their counselors and other camp staff share a pre-bedtime story or song with the campers before lights-out.

The Taste of Ramah program includes bus transportation from the Philadelphia area on Monday, taking the children up to camp for one week of fun-filled activities, and concludes on Sunday with a “Taste of Visitors Day” for parents to see what their kids have accomplished. Parents are invited to come to camp from noon to 3pm, participate in a camp orientation, go on a tour, view a presentation by their children, and stay for lunch with the entire camp
