Families have a variety of options regarding transportation of luggage to camp. Please read below for additional information, and reach out to with any questions.


If you are driving your child to camp, please have your child’s belongings packed and labeled with their name and tzrif (bunk), so the luggage can be transported to your child’s tzrif (bunk) by our staff. You will be given directions regarding where to drop their bags upon arrival. In order to keep our campers safe, the road to camp is closed to vehicles.


Families are responsible for coordinating transportation of luggage to and from camp.


  • Luggage arrangement must be made directly by the family.
  • Campers are only permitted to bring 2 hand-held pieces of luggage on the bus.
  • No matter how luggage arrives at camp, each child may bring/ship ONLY TWO pieces of luggage to allow for ample space in the bunks.

Luggage Delivery Service for Summer 2024

Dear Camp Ramah Poconos Families,

We are thrilled to partner with Camp Ramah in the Poconos to help provide your children with a fun and meaningful summer. I spent twelve summers at Ramah Poconos as a camper, counselor, and served for several years on its Board of Directors. Needless to say, Ramah holds a special place in my heart.

We are pleased to offer a variety of options for luggage delivery. Please choose the option that works best for your family:

  1. Concierge, Door-to-Door service - we will pick-up at your house, office, or wherever else is convenient
  2. Centralized Pick-Up/Drop-Off - this is similar to camper busing location, where luggage is picked-up or dropped-off at centralized locations.
  3. A hybrid option of the two - i.e. door-to-door pick-up one-way + centralized drop-off the other.

Dates of Service - Summer 2024

  • June 9th (Florida only) - we will pick up luggage in Florida from homes and centralized locations prior to the start of camp for First/Full Session.
  • June 16th (Staff luggage only) - we will pick up from staff members’ homes for delivery to camp (DE, NJ, NY, MD, and PA only).
  • June 19th - we will pick up luggage from homes and centralized locations prior to the start of camp for First/Full Session.
  • July 21st - we will pick up luggage at camper homes and centralized locations for campers going to camp for Second Session only.
  • July 22nd & 23rd - we will return camper luggage to homes (no centralized option) for campers attending First Session only. This is door-to-door service only.
  • August 13th - For all locations except for Florida, we will return luggage to centralized and door-to-door locations. For centralized return delivery in August, you pick up your bags at your children’s bus stop home. Florida return service date TBD.
