One of the highlights of the Ramah experience is the focus on sports. With age-appropriate instruction, our talented and accomplished sports staff will teach your child the skills necessary to achieve their sporting dreams. Whether playing basketball on our state-of-the-art courts, learning the grip for a proper backhand on the tennis courts, hitting a home run over the fence, mountain biking around camp, or learning proper fitness in our spinning and weight room, your child will learn how to challenge themselves in all areas of athletics.

Sports Options Include:

Basketball, Hockey, Tennis, Softball, Soccer, Fitness, Martial Arts, Mountain Biking, High Ropes Course, Archery, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Gymnastics

Based on our COVID protocols, we will not be operating RBA as a specialty track for summer 2021. Basketball will remain an important part of our camp program for those campers who are interested in this option and we are working to create a program for our campers who opt into RBA that will build skills and challenge their growth in basketball. Please visit our COVID-19 Planning page for more information on our plan for summer 2021.

For our current 6th-9th  graders we offer our Ramah Basketball Academy, led by Michael Sweetney. RBA participants will experience an advanced, team-building and skill building basketball intensive, where they will work-out, practice skills, scrimmage and compete for up to five hours a day. Year after year our RBA participants come home in phenomenal shape, having built the skills which allow them to excel at school athletics during the year. Starting summer 2021, RBA will be offered throughout the full summer, and campers can be registered for either first sessions, second session or both.

One of the biggest attractions at Camp Ramah is our team-building High Ropes Course, or our Etgar (Challenge). Over three-stories high, and stretching over fifty-yards wide, our campers utilize team-building skills in order to accomplish four challenging obstacles on their way towards our thrilling zip line descent. Under constant, trained supervision, your child will learn how to challenge themselves and others in order to achieve their goals.

Our Etgar is dedicated to the memory of Sharon and Neil Norry, who met at Camp Ramah in the Poconos in 1954.
