Our Staff

Ramah Represents Excellence

Camp Ramah in the Poconos represents a truly unique approach to the Jewish Summer Camp experience. In order to properly care for our over 400 campers each summer, we employ over 200 staff members whose are committed to our mission of inspiring each child to become their best selves. Our energetic and talented staff members are largely products of our camp itself and we take a multi-generational approach to camp staffing, so that your child will see young adults, college graduates, parents and grown families as part of their camp community.

At Camp Ramah we promote a culture of innovation when it comes to programming for your child. In the Bunk, their Edah (Age Group), and among the camp as a whole, your child will experience creative, experiential, and just plain off-the-wall fun programming as part of their camp experience.

Staff Training

In addition to our weeklong Staff Training Week, dedicated in honor of our Director Emeritus Cheryl Magen, our Tzevet (staff members) engage in bi-weekly training sessions, in which we aim to instill in them an over-arching commitment to our campers’ safety and supervision, their nurturing and emotional well-being, and of course, making sure they are having a blast!

A Taste of Israel

Each summer Camp Ramah in the Poconos employs over thirty staff members who hail from Israel. These members of our ‘Mishlachat’, our emissaries, serve as our specialty staff, imbuing each and every program with a love for Israel and the Hebrew language. Through the Ramah experience, your child will not only come to know Israel, but they will build life-long relationships with Israelis as well.
